Having grown up near my grandparent's 100-acre farm in Western Pennsylvania, I know first-hand the true experience of authentic farm-to-table dining and the importance of a fresh and nutrient-rich diet — as my grandparents and nature intended. After High School, I found myself deployed with the US Navy, traveling the globe as a Combat Photojournalist. From Japan to Australia to the Middle East, the Navy provided me with a rare opportunity to engage first-hand with the globe's most sought-after and envied cuisines. Through experience, observation, and practice, I engrossed myself in the culinary culture of every country assigned. While my time in the Navy was an experience I'd never forget, I would come to find that it was the global culinary experiences that would stay with me long after my return. After leaving the Navy, I decided to pursue a degree in International Business, finishing my studies in Paris, France. While absorbing all I could about the culture, food, and wine in Paris, I realized my true passion for the culinary arts. Returning to the US, I worked to build a career in Wealth Management, only to find myself using my weekends and any spare moments cooking for my friends and chosen family. I didn't realize a hobby and passion could become your career. So, at the end of 2017, with my closest friends and "best-eaters" encouragement, I decided to follow my dream, return to school, and earn my degree in culinary arts from the Institute of Culinary Education. Today, much like my journey, I relish in the joy of bringing families and communities together to break bread through culinary experiences that feature farm-fresh, organic, and sustainable ingredients. I've found sharing a meal to be the one universal experience, spanning continents and cultures, that allows us to enjoy our world and our lives together.
